What are the best Alaskan Cruises?

What are the best Alaskan Cruises? Is there one cruise line that is better than all the rest or that offers the best routes?

In my opinion, there is no one best cruise line. Instead, there are a number of excellent lines serving Alaska, and each is best suited to a different demographic or passenger type.

The Best Alaskan Cruises

Seven Seas Mariner

If money is no object, then I would say the best Alaskan cruise line is Radisson/Regent, especially for those who preferr a smaller ship with fewer passengers or less crowds.

On the other hand, if you are a high end customer yet want the added resources and luxuries of a larger ship, a Celebrity Cruise is an excellent choice.

For customers who prefer traditional-style cruises, Holland America provides formal dining and operates elegant, classic-style cruise ships that hark back to cruising's yesteryear.

And for the renegades and progressive types who like a more laid back environment, along with a great array of choices in dining choices, then Norwegian Cruise Line is one to consider.

Then there is Princess, which has the biggest presence of all in Alaska, with a bunch of wonderful, new ships, great service, and a variety of activities and entertainment.

So, you see, there is no one "best" cruise or cruise line in Alaska.

Instead, there are many great options with a variety of different atmospheres and cruising environments.

But don't stress out too much about picking the perfect cruise - in my experience, Alaska is the true star here, and you will have a wonderful time no matter which of these cruise lines you select.
